General Students Instructions

We are delighted to have you join us. Please read the guidelines carefully as they explain how classes, fees, and practice work. This ensures smooth learning for students and parents alike.
Admission & Registration
(Updated August 1, 2026)
- Registration is compulsory before joining regular classes.
- Complete the Student Registration Form.
- One (1) free trial class is provided for Group Classes.
- One-to-One Trial Classes are chargeable.
- Admission is confirmed only after registration, payment, and batch allocation.
- Students joining mid-month will pay only for the remaining scheduled classes.
- Previous classes will not be repeated, compensated, refunded, or carried forward.
- Registration, LMS access (only for carnatic music students), recordings, and learning materials are applicable only to the registered student and cannot be transferred or shared.

Fees & Payment
- Monthly fees must be paid on or before the Academy’s due date.
- Late payment may result in suspension of classes or release of the student’s batch seat.
- Classes missed due to late payment or non-payment are not eligible for compensation.
- Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except as stated in the Refund Policy.
- Parents should share payment confirmation after completing payment.
- Course fees vary based on course, class slot, and student location (India/Overseas).

Attendance & Compensation
- Join every class at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
- Teachers will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes
- Maximum ONE (1) compensation class per calendar month.
- Compensation is considered only for approved medical illness or exceptional family emergencies.
- Requests must be made within 2 hours of the missed class.
- Compensation classes are subject to teacher availability.
- Missed compensation classes cannot be compensated again.
- Personal travel, school programmes, internet issues, power failure, device problems, forgetting class, and late fee payment are not eligible for compensation.
- Classes are scheduled as soon as you’ve paid 1st month fee. Kindly check your email for repeated links and add them to calendar.
- We will not send reminders for each class.

Teacher Absence, Travel & Batch Policy
- The Academy guarantees 8 regular classes per calendar month.
- Extra classes during five-week months are complimentary Buffer Classes.
- Teacher absences will be managed through substitute classes or rescheduling wherever required.
- Personal travel does not qualify for compensation.
- Students taking long leave may retain their seat only under the Academy’s Seat Retention Policy.
- Returning students may be allocated a different teacher, batch, day, or timing depending on availability.
- Batch changes, teacher changes, or Online ↔ Offline requests are subject to Academy approval and availability.

Online Classes & Course Guidelines
- Attend classes from a quiet, well-lit, and distraction-free environment.
- Camera must remain ON throughout the lesson unless permission is granted.
- Keep books, notebooks, instruments, dance accessories, and learning materials ready before class.
- Frequent disconnections or leaving class repeatedly may result in the class being marked as attended.
- Carnatic Music students should practise approximately 40 minutes daily and keep the thaalam hand visible.
- Bharatanatyam students should practise regularly, maintain Araimandi, Muzhumandi, and ensure proper camera placement with sufficient practice space.

LMS, Learning Materials & Recordings
- LMS access is provided only to eligible registered students after payment.
- Login credentials are confidential and must not be shared.
- Learning materials are provided according to the student’s course level.
- Required notation books and learning materials should be purchased within the specified time.
- Academy materials, recordings, videos, PDFs, and LMS resources are for the registered student’s personal use only.
- Sharing Academy content without written permission is strictly prohibited.
- Class recordings are provided only where available and are intended only for revision and practice.

Student & Parent Responsibilities
Students should:
- Attend regularly and punctually.
- Practise consistently.
- Follow teacher instructions.
- Come prepared with all required materials.
- Maintain respectful behaviour.
Parents should:
- Encourage regular practice.
- Ensure punctuality.
- Provide a suitable learning environment.
- Avoid prompting or answering for the student during class.
- Communicate respectfully and discuss administrative matters outside class time through the Academy Coordinator.

Academy Policies & Important Note
- Respect towards teachers, coordinators, staff, fellow students, and Academy policies is expected at all times.
- Misconduct, repeated disruption, harassment, or violation of Academy policies may result in suspension or termination without refund.
- The Academy reserves the right to modify batches, teachers, schedules, fees, LMS content, and policies whenever necessary.
- The Academy’s decisions regarding admissions, attendance, scheduling, compensation, discipline, and policy interpretation shall be final.
- By registering, making payment, attending classes, or accessing the LMS, students and parents confirm that they have accepted all Academy policies.

Carnatic Music - Sruthi Box Guidelines
Sruthi is mandatory for every class.
Recommended Sruthi Boxes (Radel): Micro V6, Raagini Plus 5, Saarang Miraj Plus, Maestro DX.
- Alternatively, download (Android/iOS) ‘Isruthi’/‘Isruthi’
We usually use G# pitch (sometimes G / F#). Confirm with your teacher.
Always switch on Sruthi during class & practice.
Use Tuner Pitched app for note checking – but keep Sruthi volume low if using same device.
Ensure quiet surroundings for clear pitch detection.
