Important Performance Timing

All public Navarathri programmes from
11–16 October 2026 will begin at
5:30 PM.
-
All students scheduled for the respective event
will perform during the programme.
-
The exact performance order will be coordinated by
the respective teachers.
-
The programmes on 11–16 October will conclude by a
maximum of 7:45 PM.
-
Students and parents are requested to remain available
until the programme concludes.
-
The 17 October Palamalai Temple programme
will begin at 10:30 AM onwards.
Event Dress Code – Traditional Attire
Students are requested to attend all Navarathri performances,
Saraswathi Pooja and Vijayadasami events in neat, traditional
and appropriate Indian attire.
Girls
-
Traditional attire such as
silk/pattu pavadai, half-saree, saree
or other suitable traditional Indian attire.
-
Hair must be
neatly tied and well-groomed.
-
Free/open hair is not permitted
during performances. Hair should be secured properly so that it does not
disturb the student during the performance.
-
Sleeveless top outfits are not permitted.
-
Please avoid overly casual or Western outfits.
Boys
-
Traditional attire such as
dhoti with shirt/kurta is preferred.
-
Alternatively, boys may wear
full-length pants with a proper shirt.
- Trousers not allowed.

Please ensure the outfit is neat, comfortable and
suitable for a traditional cultural event.
For All Students
-
Attire should be
modest, traditional, neat and stage-appropriate.

Students should arrive
fully dressed and ready for the performance.

Please avoid
shorts, sleeveless clothing and overly casual
clothing.

Students are expected to maintain
neat grooming and a presentable appearance.

Parents are requested to ensure that students follow
the dress code before arriving.
Veena Performance Guidelines
For students participating in the Veena performances:

Students should ensure that their
Veena is ready and properly tuned
before the programme.
-
Students should bring the
Veena and any required accessories
as instructed by the teacher.
-
Please handle the instrument carefully while transporting
it and during the event.
-
Students should arrive sufficiently early to allow time for
instrument setup and preparation.
-
Students should remain attentive and follow the instructions
given by the teacher/coordinator regarding seating,
instrument placement and performance order.
-
Students should ensure that they are fully prepared before
the performance begins.

Students and families attending Saraswathi Pooja are requested
to wear neat and traditional Indian attire
and maintain a respectful appearance suitable for the
auspicious occasion.

Vijayadasami Special Online Session
A special common online session will be conducted for students
in place of the regular online classes.

Special Saraswathi / Vijayadasami devotional learning
This will be a special common session for students to mark
the auspicious occasion of Vijayadasami.
Regular classes will not be held on this occasion.
Note:
The session timing and song details will be confirmed separately
by the teacher. Any changes will be communicated to students
and parents in advance.
Carnatic Music Program – Quick Guidelines
Dress Code

Boys and girls should wear
neat, traditional/appropriate Indian attire
suitable for Carnatic music performances.

Girls are expected to wear traditional attire such as
silk/pattu pavadai, half-saree, saree or other appropriate
traditional attire.
-
Boys may wear
dhoti with shirt/kurta or full-length pants
with a proper shirt.

Sleeveless outfits are not permitted.

Girls’ hair should be
neatly tied; free/open hair is not permitted.

No shorts, short/revealing clothing or overly casual outfits.

Dress comfortably while maintaining a
neat and dignified stage appearance.
For Carnatic Vocal Students

Maintain a
straight and dignified posture
while performing.

Sing with confidence, clear voice and proper expression.
-
Maintain thaalam correctly throughout
the performance.

Memorise the lyrics completely and practise well beforehand.

Books/lyrics sheets will NOT be allowed on stage.

Stay focused and attentive throughout the performance.
-
Students must remain present until the event concludes,
as instructed by the teacher.

Come prepared and avoid depending on others for lyrics or cues.
For Parents & Audience
-
Please maintain
silence while the performance is happening.
-
Do not talk, shout, call out to children or distract
the performers.
-
Photography and video recording are allowed, but please
do so quietly without disturbing the performance.

Please avoid flash photography
during performances.
-
Do not move around the performance area while a student
is performing.
-
Please do not enter or leave the performance area
unnecessarily during an ongoing performance.
-
Encourage all performers respectfully and maintain a
positive and supportive atmosphere.

Parents are requested to arrive on time and ensure that
students are ready before the programme begins.

Parents are requested to remain available until the
programme concludes.
Student Reporting & Event Discipline
-
Students should arrive at the venue
well before the programme begins
and be fully ready for their performance.

The respective teacher/coordinator will provide any
specific reporting instructions where required.
-
Students should not leave the venue without informing
the respective teacher/coordinator.
-
Students are expected to remain disciplined, attentive
and respectful throughout the programme.
-
Students should follow the instructions of the teachers
and event coordinators at all times.
-
Please avoid last-minute changes to costumes, songs or
performance arrangements unless instructed by the teacher.
-
Students should come fully prepared and should not depend
on parents, fellow students or teachers for forgotten
lyrics, materials or accessories at the last minute.
Important Final Note
Public event timings, performance order and any venue-specific
instructions may be subject to minor changes based on the
arrangements at the respective venue.
Any important changes will be communicated to the concerned
students and parents by the academy/teacher.
