We are delighted to have you join us. Please read the guidelines carefully as they explain how classes, fees, and practice work. This ensures smooth learning for students and parents alike.
Registration Process
Admission Process
(Updated March 2026)
1. Registration & Trial Class
Fill out the Student Registration Form (link provided by the Academy).
Choose your course and confirm a convenient trial class timing.
Attend a free trial session.
2. Admission & Payment
If you wish to continue after the trial:
Pay the one-time Registration & LMS Fee: ₹500 (lifetime).
Pay the monthly course fee.
Payment must be completed within 2 days of schedule confirmation.
3. Slot Reservation
Slots can be held for a maximum of 2 days. A nominal reservation fee is required and will be adjusted against your course fee upon admission.
4. Course Access
After payment verification (up to 5 hours):
Carnatic Music students will receive confirmation of class. We will send LMS login credentials within 24 hrs.
Bharatanatyam students will notes/materials after joining.
Learning materials will be provided as applicable for all courses.
5. Class Communication
Class schedules will be added to Google Calendar.
Students must join classes through the calendar link.
Students will be added to the WhatsApp Announcements Group for updates.
6. Start Learning
Attend classes regularly, practice consistently, and maintain punctuality and discipline throughout your learning journey.
Course fees vary based on location (India/Overseas), course, and class slot. Please refer to the latest fee structure for details.
Fee Structure & Scheduling
Fees must be paid before the 3rd of every month (or your payment cycle)
We schedule your slots way advanced for upcoming months in the belief that you will attend classes for the upcoming months, way advanced. Kindly do make the fee payments timely.
No refunds or reductions/ compensation for the classes missed by students for the month. If absent for the whole month, a minimum holding fee is required to retain the slot.
No carry forward of missed classes to next month.

After payment, class/event links sent to your email.
Always check Google Calendar for class links. (no reminders sent to join the class).

Attendance & Compensation Policy
Maximum 1 compensation class per month (only for valid reasons)
Valid reasons:
– Illness (doctor’s note required)
– Family emergencyInvalid reasons:
– Travel
– Social events
– Family guests
– Appointments
– School/college work• Compensation classes depend on teacher availability (timings not guaranteed)
• Leaving midway / singing and exiting the session – NOT permitted
• If unwell, student can join and listen without singing/dancing – permitted
• Recordings will be shared only if the session is recorded by our system
• If the teacher is absent, compensation class will be provided
• If the student is absent, compensation will not be provided
• Compensation is considered only for genuine medical emergencies
• You may message us after your session to request recordings for practice
- If the class is scheduled, then class will happen. Please check for links and ask our co-ordinator if you don’t get links.
Travel, Slot Holding & No Carry - Forward Policy
If a student is travelling for an entire month and has paid the fee for that month, requests to cancel the ongoing month’s classes and shift them to the following month will not be accepted. As per academy policy followed consistently over the years, we do not carry forward classes under any circumstances.
Once one or two classes of the month are attended, parents cannot later request cancellation of the remaining classes stating that the student will not be available for the rest of the month. Partial attendance followed by non-availability does not qualify for rescheduling, carry-forward, or adjustments as the slot is blocked from other students.
If there is a genuine emergency and the student is unable to attend the entire month, the student may:
Pay the monthly fee and hold the slot, and
Resume classes the following month without loss of the slot, subject to timely payment of the next month’s fee.
However:
Classes of the paid month will be considered completed/absent if not attended.
No pending or missed classes will be moved to the next month.
The academy will not modify schedules, disturb other students’ permanent slots, or make repeated adjustments for one student’s availability or travel plans.
For example:
If December fee is paid and the student attends only a few classes or does not attend the remaining classes, December classes are considered completed.
January classes will begin only after January fee payment is received at the beginning of the month.
Multiple availability conditions such as “student is available only on certain days and not on others” will not be accommodated. The academy will follow the fixed schedule, and non-attendance will be treated as absence.
This policy is essential to maintain fairness, consistency, and smooth functioning for all students.
Communication & Feedback
Join our WhatsApp Announcements Group for updates, class changes, and fee reminders.
Feedback can be given once a month via phone call or Feedback Form.
New students must complete the Registration Form before starting.
Existing students should ensure they’re in the announcements group.
Carnatic Music - Class Participation & Conduct
Carnatic music students – Practice minimum 40 mins daily with Sruthi. Always Sit cross-legged, keep right hand for thaalam (no hand gestures). Good posture = better breathing, clear voice, less strain.
- Bharatanatyam students – Practise Araimandi and Muzhumandi 100 counts every day. Increase 20 counts every day. Keep the core tight. For online classes, Use bigger screens (laptop/iPad). Avoid mobiles if possible.
- If using mobile, keep it on a stand at eye level – not on the floor and 2–3 feet away. Sit in a well-lit place, face the light.
No food, water, or breaks during class unless given by the teacher. Keep essentials ready.
Video must remain ON. If video is off > 2 minutes, student will be removed.
Maintain a quiet environment. Parents shouldn’t interfere during class unless requested.
- Feedbacks or other requests can be made to Co-ordinator 5 hours prior. (We can consider only emergencies)
Carnatic Music - Syllabus & Books
📖 For Students Abroad
PDF Notations: ₹800 (mandatory).
Physical copy can be couriered if visiting India.
Must purchase books independently:
Beginner: Ganamrutha Bodhini Bala Padam
Intermediate: Ganamrutha Bodhini Varna Malika (Only needed after 3+ yrs of joining)
📖 For Indian Students
Beginner Package: ₹1600 (Bala Padam + Beginner Songs)
Intermediate Package: ₹2200 (Varna Malika + Intermediate Songs)
Only after completing Beginner course of Our Academy, Intermediate package can be bought.
👉 Mandatory purchase of books is required to continue lessons.
Carnatic Music - LMS & Audio Lessons
No lessons will be sent via WhatsApp.
All audio, video, and practice materials for Only Carnatic music are available only in our LMS (Learning Management System) on the website. Bharatantayam – no LMS courses
Login credentials (username & password) will be provided after fee payment is confirmed.
Once activated, carnatic music students can access lessons anytime.
Carnatic Music - Sruthi Box Guidelines
Sruthi is mandatory for every class.
Recommended Sruthi Boxes (Radel): Micro V6, Raagini Plus 5, Saarang Miraj Plus, Maestro DX.
- Alternatively, download (Android/iOS) ‘Isruthi’/‘Isruthi’
We usually use G# pitch (sometimes G / F#). Confirm with your teacher.
Always switch on Sruthi during class & practice.
Use Tuner Pitched app for note checking – but keep Sruthi volume low if using same device.
Ensure quiet surroundings for clear pitch detection.
